It was created on 5 February for the Irish physician Dominic Corrigan. The title became extinct on the early death of his grandson, the second Baronet, in Corrigan baronets, of Cappagh, Inniscorrig and Merrion Square () Sir Dominic John Corrigan, 1st Baronet (–) John Corrigan . Decorated with ornamental work in gold and silver, and set with crystals and amber, the bell’s bronze body is thought to have been made in Kells, Co Meath. It is believed to date to the seventh.

Patrick's College, Maynooth, University. John Austen was born in Kent. He trained originally as a carpenter before moving to London in to study art.
He returned to Kent in the s, and taught at Thanet School of Art. He exhibited works at the St George’s Gallery, London, but is best known as a book illustrator. His early works in pen and ink were reminiscent of Aubrey Beardsley.
